Integrated Management System (IMS) Policy in ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s., ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Ostrava a.s., ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions, ArcelorMittal Engineering Products Ostrava s.r.o., ArcelorMittal Technotron s.r.o. and TAMEH Czech s.r.o.

ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s. is an integrated metallurgical company. The company produces coke and chemical by-products, pig iron, continuously cast steel blanks, long and flat products, including road crash barriers, plates and strips for electrical engineering, cold rolled plates and strips and strips made of alloy and non-alloy steel grades.

ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Ostrava a.s., manufacturer of seamless and spiral welded pipes and tube products, is a 100% subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.

ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions, securing activities linked to production of cold rolled flat products, is a 100% subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.

ArcelorMittal Engineering Products Ostrava s.r.o., manufacturer of engineering products and castings, is a 100% subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.

ArcelorMittal Technotron s.r.o., manufacturer of cores of magnetic circuits, is a 100% subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.

TAMEH Czech s.r.o., manufacturer of energy, is a 100% subsidiary of TAMEH Holding sp.z o.o.

Quality of products and services, protection of environment, Energy Management System, health and safety of employees and prevention of serious breakdowns belong to the highest priorities of the above-mentioned companies. The companies implemented and certified the Integrated Management System as per EN ISO 9001, EN ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, EN ISO 50001[1] and Act no. 224/2015 Coll. on prevention of serious breakdowns.

In order to assure and continuously develop the IMS, the companies above hereby undertake:

1. To adhere to the legislative requirements for the environmental protection, H&S of Company Staff and power management which the Company is subject to; by continuous improvement:
• to improve satisfaction of the Customers and any Parties concerned in the area of the Quality of the Products produced, processes and provided services;
• to enrich the Products assortment as requested by the Customers while required Quality shall be adhered to;
• to prevent from pollution / contamination and to eliminate negative impacts of the Company production on the environment:
-   to reduce the quantities of produced waste and to maximize by-products using as raw materials;
-   to eliminate the quantities of pollutants emitted into the atmosphere including elimination of green-house gases production;
-   to – stepwise – remove the old environmental burdens;

• by prevention, to prevent from extraordinary events occurrence consequences of which might have negative impacts on health of Company Staff, the environment and Company assets; to increase the level of health protection and working environment,
-   to continue in program implementation „Approach to Zero Accident Rate“ (JTZ);
-   to continue in systematic risk analyses linked to technological processes and production technology operation; to use those analyses for AM Standards implementation in working experience;
-   to minimize the number of work injuries, occupational diseases and accidents.

• To reduce cost in the area of power management:
-   to support procurement of power-saving Products and services;
-   to support and implement the proposals for energy intensity reduction (elimination).

2. To communicate and cooperate with the local Administration, the Public and the Customers and thus to create good image of the Company; to provide fair-minded information on the impacts of the Company on the environment and safety of the citizens.

3. To motivate Company Staff and to raise Staff’s consciousness, to improve professional skills and acquirements in the area of Quality assurance, environmental protection, H& S and serious accidents prevention.

In the area of IMS Policy, Company Management hereby undertakes:

a) to up-hold, develop and continuously improve the IMS;
b) to monitor the development of legal and any other requirements and to create the conditions for their meeting;
c) to develop IMS Policy in particular objectives and to regularly assess them;
d) in order to meet the objectives of IMS Policy, to prepare and provide sufficient material, human and financial resources.

Company Staff shall:

a) prove a responsible attitude towards all set tasks performance;
b) adhere to the documented procedures and regulations of the companies concerned;
c) show an active attitude towards advancement in career and competences;
d) search for the possibilities of the Quality improvement, environmental protection, H&S and power intensity reduction in the workplaces.
